The family of Carpegna gave the origins of the Montefeltro, the Malatesta and the Faggiola, ancient lordships protagonists of the history of these places and their cultural and artistic evolution.
The Prince's Palace of Carpegna Falconers is located right in the center of the town. It was designed by the Roman architect Giovanni Antonio de 'Rossi for Cardinal Gaspare Carpegna, whose construction began in 1675 and ended only after twenty years.
